Chart: arc diagram
MaxFour to eight nodes sit on one baseline in supplied order, each with an icon badge, label and a bar as wide as the exact total of its links. Three to twelve undirected links rise above the line as semicircular bands whose width is exactly proportional to their amount on one shared scale; each band leaves its own slot on both bars, longer arcs enclose shorter ones, and every amount sits on its arc.

When to use it
Use to show how much pairs of participants share, and who is most connected, when order along a line helps: joint projects between teams, referrals between channels, cross-sell between products, trade between regions, co-authorship between groups. Amounts share one positive measure; direction carries no meaning. Not for directed flows between stages (use a Sankey), dense networks where most pairs are linked (use a matrix), hierarchies, or more than eight participants.
