Cost curve
PowerFour to sixteen adjacent bars sorted from lowest to highest value, each exactly as wide as its quantity along a cumulative quantity axis and as tall as its per-unit value from zero (negative values fall below it), with names and values inside bars that hold them, numbered leaders and a ledger for the rest, and an optional labeled reference line that shades bars above it more quietly, with a key naming both groups.

When to use it
Suits supply curves (mines, plants or suppliers by capacity and unit cost against a market price), marginal abatement curves (measures by potential and cost per unit, with negative costs as savings, against a carbon price), and sourcing or procurement curves (suppliers by volume and price against a budget ceiling). Needs a positive quantity and a per-unit value for every item. Not for time series, shares of a whole or values without a quantity; use columns, a Marimekko or a bar chart for those.
