When to use it
Use for one meaningful whole split into two to six supplied positive amounts in one common unit, or a complete percentage distribution, such as a budget by category, revenue by source or traffic by channel. Not for unrelated rates, partial percentage totals, zero or negative parts, mixed quantities, trends over time, more than six parts or requests that give no numbers. Very small parts keep their exact values in the legend even when their arc is imperceptible.
