Forecast
PowerA solid line of supplied actual values over three to eight ordered periods, then two to five forecast periods with a dashed base scenario continuing from the last actual inside a shaded band between supplied low and high scenarios. Header tabs and a dashed divider mark where the forecast begins; scenario names and final values label the line ends, and the value axis spans the supplied values rather than always starting at zero.

When to use it
Suits a supplied outlook continuing a measured history: revenue or bookings scenarios, headcount or demand plans, cost projections, user growth targets and capacity forecasts. Needs actual values for the history and exactly three supplied scenarios (low, base, high) for every forecast period, in one unit. The band is a scenario range, not a statistical confidence interval. Not for comparing unrelated series, history without a forecast, or forecasts without scenarios; use a line chart for those.
