Area trend
MaxOne to three thin projected walls stand one behind another in their own lanes on one shared plinth, the period axis running straight across the page: each wall's square-on front face rises straight between a series' exact values at four to ten period stations from a common zero floor, its lit top strip and shaded end wall show its depth, faint station lines run back across the plinth from the period labels on its front face, and each series' name and last exact value stand beside the foot of its end wall; lanes are ordered and spaced so no wall hides another's top.

When to use it
Use for the trend of one nonnegative measure for up to three series over four to ten equally spaced periods when a solid presentation look suits the slide, such as monthly recurring revenue by plan, active users by platform over quarters, pipeline value by region over weeks or support tickets by channel over months. Not for negative values, more than three series, stacked totals or shares, unequal time spacing or reading exact intermediate values; use a line or area chart for precise reading. Very sudden jumps between neighbouring periods widen the chart.
