Donut chart: isometric extruded ring on a round plinth
MaxA shallow projected ring of two to six slices on a low round plinth, each slice's angle exactly proportional to its supplied positive amount, clockwise from the back with even seams; every slice carries an upright outside label with its name, exact value and rounded share on a leader to its marker, and an optional derived total with its label stands in the hole.

When to use it
Use for one meaningful whole split into two to six supplied positive amounts in one common unit, or a complete percentage distribution, when a solid presentation look suits the slide, such as revenue mix by product, budget allocation, traffic sources or market share. The ring's height and width are uniform and carry no data. Not for unrelated rates, partial percentage totals, zero or negative parts, mixed quantities, trends over time, more than six parts or precise comparison of near-equal parts. Very small parts keep their exact values in their labels even when their slice is imperceptible.
