When to use it

Use to explain the exact monetary change when both a positive unit price and a positive whole-unit quantity increase: ticket revenue, room revenue or purchasing cost. The four areas separate the original amount, extra units at the original price, the price increase on original units, and both increases together. Not for decreases, fractional units, mixed currencies, inferred effects or causal claims beyond this arithmetic identity. Both axes start at zero; shallow extrusion carries no data. Narrow regions retain their true proportions or fail the fit check.
