MaxFour to twelve equal-angle sectors run clockwise from the top in supplied order, each filled out to the radius at which its area is exactly proportional to its value from a shared zero at the centre. Quiet reference rings carry their measured values on the top seam, every sector's label and exact value sit outside the rim, and a caption names the measure and the area encoding.

When to use it
Use for one measure across a cycle of periods or a small set of peer categories, when the shape of the whole pattern matters: monthly sales seasonality, support requests by hour band, weekday footfall, spending by category. Values share one unit and may be zero. Not for negative values, parts that must be read as shares of a total, more than twelve categories, or precise side-by-side comparison of close values.
