When to use it
Analyst-style evaluations where two scores on one scale decide standing: vendor or product evaluations (strategy against current offering), supplier and partner assessments, shortlisted solutions in a procurement review, agencies or candidates rated on two criteria. Not for axes with different units or ranges (use a scatter or numeric quadrant matrix), for categorical positions, or for thresholds that split the plot into four named quadrants.
