When to use it
Use to place items on an ordered scale between two poles, such as practices on a maturity scale, options from conservative to aggressive, or tasks from low to high effort. The levels are ordered names, not numbers. Not for items on two axes (use a matrix), dated events (use a timeline), values to scale (use a chart), or sorting items into unordered groups.
